Out-of-Hours Care

We're committed to providing the best quality care, 24 hours a day.

If you need to see a vet out of hours, please call our normal number and your call will be redirected to Vets Now in North Hykeham

All OOH appointments will incur an OOH emergency consult fee.

Please contact us to find out more.

Facilities

We have modern facilities in a friendly environment. We have a fully equipped operating theatre and use the latest anaesthesia techniques and monitoring devices to ensure the best for your pet during their stay with us, whether for routine surgery or something a little more specialised.

We have excellent Digital Radiography, Ultrasound and ECG equipment. This is in addition to our on-site blood analysis machines for Diagnostic Haematology and Biochemistry, enabling us to get quick answers for your pet’s health.

More complicated Orthopaedic surgery is performed by our visiting Specialist Orthopaedic surgeon.

Microchipping

Companion Veterinary Clinic uses Back Home microchipping which is recommended by Veterinary Surgeons, charities and animal welfare organisations alike.

Repeat Prescriptions

Many pets' medical conditions require long-term medications. Phone to notify us at least 48 hours before you want to collect a repeat prescription as a vet must check and approve all prescriptions and drugs may need to be ordered in.

Order your repeat prescription online.

Pet Passports

As of January 2012 the regulations for the Pet Travel Scheme has changed to make travel with pets simpler. We can vaccinate your pet against rabies as long as it is microchipped and you can travel to Europe three weeks later.

Full details are available on DEFRA’S website. We will also advise about parasite control in whichever part of Europe you are visiting. An official Veterinary Surgeon in Europe must worm your pet 1-4 days before you return to the UK.
